Show Notes

Like many people, Tabari McCoy is a collector of many things – sneakers, baseball caps, comic books and above all else, autographs. As the President and CEO of one of the largest memorabilia companies in the world in TriStar Productions, Jeff Rosenberg has the power to bring a lot of people's favorite athletes into their lives ... For the right price.

Founded in 1987 in Houston with the original purpose of specializing in the production of quality sports collectible shows, TriStar serves as the exclusive autograph agent for a number of notable athletes, including but not limited to 2020 Baseball Hall of Famer Larry Walker, Houston Astros Hall of Famers Craig Biggio & Jeff Bagwell, seven-time Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens, Chicago Cubs Hall of Fame second baseman Ryne Sandberg and Ken Griffey, Jr. among others. With more than 300 signings annually with the top sports superstars of yesterday and the brightest stars of today, over 250,000 authentic autographed items are produced annually at TriStar signings.

In addition, TriStar acted as the exclusive local sponsorships/exhibit sales and advertising/promotions team for World Wrestling Entertainment's WrestleMania X-SEVEN and AXXESS: The Fan Festival in Houston in 2001. TriStar also produced the 16th & 18th National Sports Collector Conventions (NSCC).

Rosenberg was instrumental in TriStar co-producing the 1995 National Sports Collectors Convention (NSCC) and the company serving as show coordinator for the 1997 NSCC in Cleveland. Under his direction, TriStar Productions, Inc. has been recognized as the recipient of the industry’s Show Promoter of the Year Award every year the award has been presented since 1993. The company also currently serves as the exclusive autograph pavilion management company for the NSSC.

On this episode, Jeff talks about the rise of his company, dealing with multimillion dollar athletes, crazy collectors, his favorite memorabilia and learning how to hold on to the things you treasure that you can't replace – and not just in terms of items on display in your house.
