A resident of Los Angeles, Minta Spencer spent her 20s running businesses with her husband while playing the occasional gig off and on. But once 2020 hit, she and some friends discovered a new hobby: Making covers of classic hip-hop tracks and posting them on Instagram for the world to enjoy. And in the time that has followed, she and her friends have caught the attention of several of the genre's key players to the point that her talents have suddenly become in demand.
